Kilronan Castle Wedding Venue – Croiative Films Wedding Videography

Kilronan Castle

Kilronan Castle Estate and Spa is one of our favourite wedding venues to film in. The 4 star venue is well off the beaten track in Roscommon, making it the perfect venue for a relaxed wedding or a spa break. The 18th century medieval castle has won a number of awards over the years including Gold Medals Best Wedding Venue. One of the major strengths of Kilronan Castle is the incredible food. The venues food along with their Executive Chef David Porter has also won a number of food awards over the years. If you have not had the experience of a wedding at Kilronan Castle why not treat yourself away to a night away at the venue. You can sample some of the stunning food in the Douglas Hyde Restaurant and really unwind in their incredible spa.

Getting to Kilronan Castle

The venue is located about 2 hours outside of Dublin in the west of Ireland. One of the easiest ways to see the venue is to drive. The venue is just based outside one of Ireland’s tidiest villages, Keadew. There are also a number of bus and train routes from Dublin to nearby Carrick on Shannon. You would need to organise a taxi from here.

Your Ceremony

Like all venues there is the ability to get married onsite on the grounds of the Castle or in a nearby church depending on what your preferences are. We have filmed a number of wedding ceremonies here including a number of outdoor ceremonies. Weather permitting, this is a really great way to bring the essence of Kilronan Castle into your wedding ceremony. If you are considering this, have a look at the below film from Miranda and Shane’s wedding.

You can also get married inside the venue in the Grand Ballroom which can be converted to suit your setup. If you are looking for some more inspiration I would highly recommend following their Instagram account. The venue frequently post pictures from weddings throughout the year.

Finally if you are considering a church wedding there a number of both Church of Ireland and Catholic churches near the venue so you won’t have to stray too far. For a church wedding take a look at Rachelle and Enda’s wedding on our portfolio page here.
